Megan Moll, forward, attempts to score during the girls varsity soccer game against Lindbergh, April 3. “I love competing against good high school teams,” Moll said. “I have so much fun with my teammates while doing it. Sometimes it is nice to get away from school and just play the game I love. But, sometimes losing multiple hours after school practicing or having a game can be stressful if I have a test or something come up.” The Wildcats lost, 0-1.

Regan Peterson, photo editor

This is Peterson’s third year on the Eurekana staff where she serves as the photo editor for all staffs. One word to describe her: eccentric. Conversation she wants to have with the world: “I would like everyone to know that life is not as hard as it seems and to remember to keep on keeping on, no matter if it is a sprint or slow crawl.”  Peterson is involved in FCA, French Club, SWAT, and Field Hockey at Eureka. She also enjoys taking photos and going on “mad adventures” with her friends. Dream job: “I want to be a photo journalist, move to Bhutan or another small country and report there. Tess Summers, Eurekana staff

This is Summers’ second semester on staff where she serves as a regular staffer. Word to describe her: “outgoing”. Conversation she wants to have with the world: “How could we fix the hate?” At school Summers is involved in cheer. Outside of school she enjoys hanging out with friends, family, and her dog. As well as finding cool places to go without traveling far. Summers is not sure of what her dream job would be.

Grace Munton, Eurekana staff

Munton is serving her first year on the Eurekana staff. One word to describe her: “stubborn”. Conversation she wants to have with the world: “Everyone is different in their own beautiful ways. We all need to accept and embrace those those difference. Just because you have more then others do not make you better, what you have does not make you you. Being self absorbed and conceded will get you nowhere, generosity goes a lot further. Words hurt harder then you know, be the bigger person and turn the other way.” Munton is involved in dive and STUCO. Outside of school she enjoys diving, running, watching netflix, and taking photos. In the future Munton wants to either do something in the entertainment business or be a paramedic.

Sarah Myers, EBN and Eurekana editor-in-chief

Myers serves as the editor-in-chief of two staffs: EHS-hub Broadcast News and Eurekana yearbook. She has been on staff since first semester her sophomore year, returning after taking Design and Desktop Publishing her freshman year.

Word that describes her: dedicated.

As editor-in-chief, she manages staffs over three different hours and coordinates their efforts into the well-oiled publications machine of EHS Publications. “Where do I begin? I conference with staff members on their stories and help them with ideas. I enjoy making all the decisions for the publications and working with staff members who have different talents and skills to make those decisions,” Myers said. “I have learned how to manage people and lead them toward a common goal. No small feat.”

Conversation she wants to have with the world: “We needs to learn to accept one another and our differences. It is so much easier to work together as a team when we can acknowledge each other’s experiences and perspectives and focus on what that diversity brings to the team.”

Myers enjoys yoga, cooking, driving, photography and writing and participates E!Crew and NHS.

Cloe Jones, Eurekana yearbook staff

This is Jones’ first year on the Eurekana staff where she serves as a staff member. Word to describe her: artistic. Conversation she wants to have with the world: “Stop being so stupid.” Jones’ plays bass, is in symphonic orchestra, and plays in the pit for musicals. Dream job: “My dream job is to play in pit orchestras for a living. Maybe even some symphonies.”

Demi Fine, Eurekana yearbook staff

This is Fine’s first year on the Eurekana staff where she is serving as the academics assistant manager for Eurekana 2018. Word that describes her: sassy. Conversation she wants to have with the world: “I would want to understand and discuss the need for violence and hate in the world. I want everyone to get along and for the world to live in peace.” Fine is on a competitive hip hop team serves as sophomore class secretary and will play ultimate Frisbee in the spring.
