EHS held Orientation for sophomores, juniors and seniors, Aug. 7.  At orientation, students…

  • Received Chromebooks as a part of RSD’s 1:1 initiative
  • Got their school portraits taken for the yearbook and their student IDs
  • Picked up their 2018 yearbooks and ordered their 2019 yearbooks
  • Got their fall semester schedules
  • Turned in parking pass information
  • Ordered spirit wear

Freshman Orientation will be Thursday, Aug. 9. Student schedules will be available on Infinite Campus, Thursday, Aug. 9. 

For those unable to attend, Make-up Orientation will be Monday, Aug. 13, 8:30-10:30 a.m.

At Make-up Orientation, students can have their portraits taken, receive Chromebooks and pick up Yearbooks. 

For those who did not pick up their 2018-2019 Yearbook, books will be available for pick up in the Large Theatre during Make-up Orientation. After the start of school, books will be available for pick up in the Welcome Center.

This is Fine’s second year on the Eurekana and Hub staff where he is serving as the editor-in-chief for the Hub as well as photographer for the Eurekana. Word that describes him: kind. Lauren Glascock, EHS-Hub staff

Glascock is a news reporter for the EHS-hub. This is her second semester on staff. Her hobbies include travelling, writing, hanging out with friends, going on joyrides and taking pictures. At EHS Glascock plays Varsity basketball and lacrosse. She is also involved in the SADD organization and National Honors Society. If she could have one conversation with the world, she would ask for peace and equality among people. Word to describe her: Optimistic. Glascock’s dream job is to be a writer for a travel magazine or have any job where she can combine her love of both writing and traveling. Twitter: @LglascockEHShub

Regan Peterson, photo editor

This is Peterson’s third year on the Eurekana staff where she serves as the photo editor for all staffs. One word to describe her: eccentric. Conversation she wants to have with the world: “I would like everyone to know that life is not as hard as it seems and to remember to keep on keeping on, no matter if it is a sprint or slow crawl.”  Peterson is involved in FCA, French Club, SWAT, and Field Hockey at Eureka. She also enjoys taking photos and going on “mad adventures” with her friends. Dream job: “I want to be a photo journalist, move to Bhutan or another small country and report there.
